  1. Awwww man our depth 🙁

I hope it’s more than the MLE would be a bummer if Boston refused to match the MLE

  2. There’s gotta be something more to this … No way we let Grant go for this

  3. I love Brad and the moves he’s been making but not this one at all. Someone convince me otherwise

  4. We’re just racking up SRPs, hope it turns into something. Grant is a great player

  5. I get the hope that Brad might be cooking, but there’s always a chance that this is just Wyc asking him to shed salary. I don’t think these extra seconds push the needle on any moves.

  6. I’m sad to see Grant go, especially after already losing Smart, but I’m not surprised by it either.

All the moves Stevens had been making this offseason had been leaving just enough space open to access the tMLE, but not enough to bring back Grant while staying under the 2nd apron. This was pretty expected in my opinion. Getting 3 2nds out of a RFA isn’t the worst thing in the world.

    EDIT: 2 2nds and a 2nd round pick swap, not 3 2nds

  7. Welcome to life under the new CBA. Keeping the Jays on supermaxes means that the rest of the team are a turnstile of second round picks

  8. Marcus and Grant? This team just lost a lot of personality. Hopefully it lets Brad build a championship team, but I’m going to miss both those guys. Good luck, Grant.

  9. Happy for him. Got a massive bag and now gets to be fed corner threes from Luka.
