  1. Building a team around contact hitting doesn’t work when a small village is frequently left on the base paths. I long for even one legitimate power bat in this lineup. Sadly Josh Bell is another classic Cleveland free agent bust. Home runs separate decent teams from elite teams in modern MLB. What a frustrating season.

  4. Could’ve very easily gotten swept her and for this to be the only game where we weren’t on the Braves’ ass is ok in my mind. I’m happy we squeaked a win but today was a pretty annoying game

  6. I wrote this game off the instant I saw Cal starting. He’s just lost it unfortunately.

  7. Welp, we stole one, were competitive in another, and managed a .333 xBA tonight to their .328. There’s a lot to be impressed with from this series. Quantrill is my only extreme concern after those three games.

  8. This takes my personal cake for worst game of the season so far.

    So many flaws exposed in the past few hours.

  9. The long ball wins games folks. Pretty damning on the FO that they refuse to understand this.

  12. I’ll assume the role of vacation guy, positives from today’s game:

    – Bullpen is mostly saved
    – Nobody was seriously injured
    – Weather was nice

  13. Not sure how people are content with “well we’re only 2 games back”. This team is getting absolutely rocked in a playoff series vs a good team, if they somehow make it.

  14. Twins get to play the O’s three times. We get KC 4.

    I have a feeling the division will be within 1 1/2 games at most by the all star break.

    Hell. Might even take the lead. Hit the .500 mark?

    Let’s just forget about this series. Who says no?

  15. Does the post game crew ever, idk, provide actual post game analysis? half the time they act as apologists for this sorry ass team

  16. We all agree Cal is cooked right? I know it’s the Braves, but he’s been destroyed all season. Honestly I’d rather see Gaddis right now, and that’s a frightening thought.

  17. Another putrid performance by Quantrill! He should be sent down.
    This series just continued to demonstrate the Guardians can’t compete with good teams.

  18. I didn’t see Slider tonight…….oh my god! Is Josh Naylor secretly Slider??? Josh is sent away on injury, and Slider vanishes too……

    Someone investigate this!

  20. Win all 4 against KC and figure out what players need to be starting everyday and the ones that need to be sitting. This team needs that break badly but management needs to have some meetings because it has not clicked at all.

  21. I never understood the reasoning of even bringing quantril back to the rotation, let alone givin him this long of a leash
