But that number will likely soon be surpassed.
Johnny Bench’s Wikipedia page states he is “widely regarded as the greatest catcher of all time.” Obviously he’s in the upper echelon, but I feel like that’s more up for debate? Was his defense truly that transcendent? I know he was one of the first to catch with only one hand
I realize Johnny Bench was an awesome catcher.
But what an *unfortunate* name for a baseball player.
