Some of you guys in this sub have had a hate boner for Arraez since the middle of last season.
I still miss Arraez and think trading a batting champ is always a bad idea. Lopez is great and I’m glad we have him but it’s not like Lopez is the next Verlander. It just sucks to trade a truly special player like Arraez.
I’ll always take a horse over a stick. Lopez is an allstar worthy pitcher across the board Luis is and allstar worthy (best in the game)contact hitter.
I miss Luis Arraez. I want him to come home. But big brother Pablo is a good boy too

I 100% still miss Luis. I’m thrilled we finally didn’t shop in the bargain bin to bring in the final piece of our starting rotation, but I for one think this team could still use a All Star caliber hitter which Luis is.

Sure I miss Arraez. I’d probably miss him less if we weren’t losing a lot of low-scoring one run games. But the powers-that-be recognized the need for starting pitching for this year and beyond and mistakenly thought that we had enough consistent hitting to get by.
I always liked to watch Arraez bat, and I hope he continues to hit at his otherworldly pace, but I understand why he was traded.
People need to get over the trade. When it was made the Twins NEEDED pitching because the bats were strong at the time.
In order to trade for legit pitching you need to part with something, no team is giving you a Lopez for the Garlicks/Gordons of the league. This isn’t you xbox where you can trade for an All Star roster by tossing A players around.
Why can’t the Twins go buy a FA pitcher worth a darn and keep Luis. Fucking Homer’s content with another below .500 team/first round exit .
The weird thing is that I don’t miss Arraez that much because I don’t think having him would change a ton since he’d be taking away playing time from our best hitters (Kiriloff, Solano, Julien) due to position overlap lol.
He’s obviously better than they are but the gap isn’t big enough that it bothers me when considering the gap between Lopez and whoever our 5th starter would be without him.

Lopez is a solid mid rotation starter. I would trade him back to the Marlins for Arraez in a heartbeat. It wouldn’t happen though because the Marlins would hang up the phone and laugh.
I miss Arraez because he is a very good player who was also an absolute joy to watch. He always looked like he was just playing with his friends. I like Lopez too, but I’ll always miss Arraez.

Taking a look at our stats, Arraez would have had a 250 BA and career high K ratio this year with us.
I’d trade Pablo back for Arreaz in 5 minutes. Actually I’d never make the trade. In 15 years Lopez will be sitting and talking about how he used to pitch in the big leagues. Arreaz will still be collecting hits. You DO NOT trade a batting champion.
He looked great. Hopefully he can equal that performance against teams not named the Royals.
The people that are hating on Arraez now were the same ones that were condemning the trade. This sub has such a flip-flop reaction to the trade it’s hilarious.
