The way they hyped dude I was expecting to see god in human form out there. Looked like a dude who’s never played ball before.

This means nothing to me Derrick Rose had a terrible summer league besides his issue could simply be due to the fact he doesn’t have an NBA ready body.
A bad game from him but it’s too early to make any lasting judgments besides the fact that he needs to get stronger. Never agreed with why the media hyped him as an immediate generational player but I think he’ll at least be great
I think he will be a good player this year. 5 blocks is really impressive. He will have an immediate defensive impact and his offense will improve as he learns their system and get comfortable with his teammates/NBA play. He’s really young and has a great (growth) attitude so the sky is the limit for him. You can teach the technical aspects of the game and experience will help him but you can’t teach 7’3″ with handles!
Like I said, I was more annoyed at the overhyping of him. But I say that, despite me being an all NBA hater, more as an indictment of media and culture. Let Wemby earn and make his own way.
