Hot take: I like felger
They have a point though. Lillard is saying he only wants to go to Miami, but of all the other realistic destinations there’s only one city he’s specifically pointed out with a “No”. Boston.
And unless he gives a reason why he won’t come here, there’s going to be speculation.
I love Felger and Mazz. Great entertainment and sometimes have great takes. Not the most knowledgeable guys on the NBA though.
Wow. That thread is amazing. Part of me wants ESPN to hire Felger. Partly so he goes away, and partly to see the chaos he’d cause as a national figure.

Pretty sure Brad can call the Blazers at literally any instant now and seal a deal for Dame. But I can speak for a majority of Celtics fans when I say we don’t want that dude in here. The way he has handled himself this offseason is reminiscent of Kyrie and we don’t want any more of that clownery here again.
I still want to know why he shaves his eyebrows.
I dont think this take makes that much sense. We arent a premium destination for most players, like we arent miami, LA or brooklyn (i guess this has to be put up there because of harden, kyrie durant?), but we are the next tier. We signed all star hayward, got kyrie to agree to come here when he was high value, signed horford. All big FA signings or name dropped trade requests. Not a bad haul. At least as good as chicago, better than atlanta or dallas, and way better than all the small markets.
Dame ONLY wants miami. Its not anywhere but boston, its nowhere but miami.

Felger outside of hockey talk is one of the most idiotic Boston radio personalities there is. He watched probably 5 minutes of basketball a year and feels like he’s qualified to comment on it.
Lillard doesn’t want to come here because Boston doesn’t have the nightlife like Miami and all of his friends tell him Boston is racist. And because he’s never actually had to visit he believes it. If he was traded here it’d be another Garnett situation. Guy doesn’t want to come here but then ends up loving it

he’s asking what is it about us that players dont like? He is talking about the city having a problem….which we do….and everyone acknowledges this anytime a thread about boston racism being brought up. Everyone in here agrees the fans and the people here got some attitude problems when threads about it are posted.
