[Bonjour Boucher] Here the full quote since he always posts without context “Siakam has to be worth at least one unprotected first-round pick and a decent young player, plus salary filler. And if he softens his stance on resigning with his new team, the price could go up significantly.”

  1. well it’s not like we’re trading him if he still says he refuses to re-sign with the new team. We’re not gonna sell for pennies on the dollar.

  2. As soon as Siakam’s camp told Haynes to tweet what he did, that entire ship sailed. Hawks sign Bufkin then DJM signs the extension.

  3. This feels like a pretty low return all things considered? Yes he’s expiring but i’d much rather re-sign Siakam than take on about 30m in filler, one pick and one rookie unless the filler is some good roleplayers that can be flipped for more picks or young players.

  4. Any upper hand the FO had to get a nice haul went down the drain once Siakam and his camp ran to Chris Haynes to have that nonsense tweeted out about not re-signing with whoever got him. Teams are clearly gonna use that against them

Something is gonna have to give. We can’t have another guy in a contract year only thinking about his personal stat sheet and not thinking about the team’s overall success and development

  5. He’s worth far more than that. I’d much rather extend than gift him away for trash

the message is clear that Scottie Gary and OG stepping up. Pascal still wants to only be here and he gets to play for a team that could retire his jersey and ball with his best friend.

So let’s just fuckin’ do this and get on with it. We won’t win shit this year, but if this year plays out as intended then we’ll be in a good place.

  6. Oh man we’re gonna look back at last years trade deadline worse and worse by the day it seems=(
