  2. Based on what I’ve heard, I’m pretty confident that the draft is going to be:

    1. Langford

    2. Skenes

    3. Crews

    4. {wildcard} (Clark?)

    5. Gonzalez

    6. {college player}

    7. Clark/Jenkins

    There have been some rumors about the Pirates going extreme underslot with Jenkins at #1 and I don’t really buy it. Also some rumors about the Tigers at 3 wanting to go underslot, but if Crews is there there’s 0 shot they pass.

    I think picks 1-3 are locked and there was a rumor this morning that Clark has told people he’s getting picked 4th.

    If the top 5 are all gone (Crews/Skenes/Langford/Clark/Jenkins) I expect that the Reds would go Lowder, Dollander, Waldrep, or Meyer (most likely Lowder). Some outlets had them on Kyle Teel, but I don’t think that’s likely.

  5. I liked Wade Miley when we had him. But I hope he gives up ten runs today

  6. The mysterious TBD keeps the Brewers guessing, Bell you sly fox.

    Why not start Williamson with the break coming up since he only went 3 innings in that rain-delayed game in Washington?

  7. Fun fact. I was watching the reds game and playing on my HCIM when wade through his no hitter and in the 8th inning with 2 outs my HCIM died. The no hitter was cool, I never forgave him tho.

  8. Got a feeling Elly is going to break some record set by Eddie “Tiny Toes” Johnson in 1887 today.

  10. > The Reds activated right-hander Ben Lively from the 15-day injured list this morning, per a club announcement. In a corresponding move, the club designated right-hander Michael Mariot for assignment. Lively is poised to start this afternoon’s game against the Brewers.

  14. MLB draft is tonight, the consent in the media who do this professionally seem to have the reds slated around 4 main guys

    Max Clark

    Walker Jenkins,

    Rhett Lowder

    Kyle Teel

    Jenkins and Clark are both more so pipe dreams as they both may wind up going before our pick, but mlb draft is a bit wacky sometimes.

    Think I would lean Teel over Lowder because our depth at Catcher is not fantastic and we have a lot decent arms on the farm, none that are on Lowder level as a prospect but still good

    Clark and Jenkins are both fantastic but have different skill sets

    Clark I feel matches the prototype CF, elite speed and smooth left handed swing, scouts have his hit tool as plus plus

    Jenkins is more so your prototype Corner OF, big thick power hitting frame with above average speed but lacking the elite speed

    Excited to see what young kid will be added to the farm

  16. Going to miss the start of this one. Hopefully by the time I get to watch the first thing I see is Miley sitting in the dugout with a look of disappointment

  18. I would like to see India leading off against lefties to see if his slump is really due to being in the 3 hole or not
