  1. I am really just happy it is a pitcher. People can shit all they want on how it’s denver and all that but we gotta get pitchers in somehow and this team is sticking with the orioles approach of draft first teams.

Hopefully he doesn’t bottom out cause he does have a nasty slider when it’s on and a fastball that can touch 100 occasionally

  2. Hey they actually took the best obvious choice for once. Hoping he really does go thru the minors quick cause lord knows we need him.

  3. Great pick. Rockies were going college pitcher and Lawler went 7th to the Reds. Dollander throws hard. I understand he needs to work on off speed and location but he will be in Denver quickly.

  4. Love it. I think he profiles about as well as anyone to hopefully adapt to Denver without imploding, and I think the talent here is phenomenal. I know we’re all used to getting burned on pitchers but we don’t have an option of “no more pitchers then” so I’m into this pick as the best shot we had this year.

  5. UT fan here. Dollander has nasty stuff. He was unhittable in 2022. He had some issues with location this year and was getting hit very hard. His slider seemed to lose its bite. The fastball is great though. If he can get that slider back to 2022 consistency he will be a legit rotation guy.

  6. Was hoping they would take him, at this point if he can be something of a Jon Gray clone it’s a win.

  7. THANK YOU. Perfect pick, perfect pitcher for what we need. Three year college pitcher with command and big velo who also has a ton of upside remaining and can really spin it. I love the bet on the upside and athleticism.

Good ****, Schmidt. I was so scared they’d pick Lowder.

  8. A pitcher who has control issues working with this pitching staff. Yikes feel bad for him because analysts think he could be good in the right system
