Thoughts on the MidSeason Cup? How will Indiana fare?

Hope they would design a dope court for the tournament, unlike the summer league or bubble court

I really love the timing of this. It will give teams a taste of playoff ball. And for our young guys, it’s an invaluable experience.
It’s Meaningful competition with a more immediate impact.
We can take Detroit easy, Atlanta would be who sets up their players better (Trae or Hali), Sixers could go bad if Embiid bodies Turner like he did last season, Cleveland is the scariest imo but I can see is getting 2nd or 3rd whole obviously trying to get number 1
If the Pacers finish 3rd in this group, I’ll be whelmed. If they steal a game from both PHI and CLE I’ll be overwhelmed. If they drop games to ATL and DET, I’ll be underwhelmed.
I’ve been against the idea of a mid season tournament since I first heard about it but I’m hoping it’s better than I think it will be.
Looking at our group though, on paper I think we stand to be fairly competitive. In reality there’s still a lot to tell and it might take a while for the team to start playing really well together. So by the time of the tournament we might not be at our full potential for the season.
