Leonard is 2 yrs into this injury and now just “has a chance”. Don’t mess with these spinal injuries. At this point going to be surprised if he ever plays significant time again.
Irsay added these at the end:
-On Jonathan Taylor: “Jonathan is healed up.”
-On Shaquille Leonard: “He’s working, he has a chance, he’s getting a little better each day.”

Man this Leonard situation is sad. Don’t get me wrong, he could end up fine where a few months from now we’re all laughing and enjoying prime Maniac again but holy does that not sound encouraging. Every day it’s becoming more and more likely that we’ve already seen his best days.
This sounds like Luck/Peyton all over again. I think he’s done unfortunately.
Why can’t any of our best defenders last
A chance?
But he’s several months removed from his surgery. That’s the key thing. This surgery appears to have worked.

They still saying this?? Just breaks my colts heart Leonard brought the heart and fire to this team I really hope he come back playing like a king!
Hate to be a pessimist but back injuries aren’t something that are light. It’s been a year since we’ve seen him play and even that one game he was slow, you could tell he wasn’t 100%. Knowing the colts staff they probably know something we don’t and are trying to make it sound better than it is
Has a chance? He’s done.
He is done
