“I can’t identity another team that is actively after Dame other than Miami. The only team I can identify who’s really going after Dame is the Heat & [Cronin] even admits that…The Heat have probably identified that too. I just don’t see how the market’s developing”@WindhorstESPN

  1. He’s 33 years old and only wants to play for a team that will be a top contender after adding him. Teams with a longer view do not want him unless it comes at a steep discount. Most top contenders are either asset poor (Sixers, Suns, Bucks, Lakers, Clippers, Mavericks) or set at point guard already (Knicks, Nuggets, Warriors, Grizzlies, Hawks).

Portland’s roster is unbalanced as well, making trades based around guys like Maxey or Trae Young unattractive to them.

Of course there’s not a strong market.

  2. This whole presscon was just him trying to save face, I’d like to call their bluff and let them drag this out while Dame is losing value. Bro is creating artificial leverage

If only he put this much effort into building a winning roster for Dame

  3. The ESPN narratives regarding other teams being interested are dead. Time to push the newest one: “There’s no rush for a Miami trade”

  4. Averaging 20/4/5 and improving every season. I know I’m crazy but at 23, I’m very good with this vs 33 at 45m per for two years knowing he will eventually get here like Butler did… Let Portland keep asking for the moon

  5. Lets not forget that if the Heat “accommodate” the Trailblazers the Heat will have to assume a very big contract. These people act like we aren’t sacrificing anything. If they wait until the trade deadline they will be giving him to us for five 3rd round picks.
