“The Blazers have encouraged other teams to make offers [for Dame]. So far there haven’t been any, at least not serious ones. Whether it’s Lillard’s contract or his Miami-or-bust messaging, a market beyond South Florida has not materialized. And the Heat know it” -@SIChrisMannix

  1. Seems good for us but as always things can change in a blink of an eye. Pat knows what he’s doing so let’s just wait and hope

  2. It might take the blazers so long to figure it out that the price can drop even more 🤣🤣🤣

  3. Holy crap. Regurgitating the same reports. Don’t want to hear anymore reports.

  4. The star player in question has very clearly stated where he wants to go. His agent is making and taking calls to cement that request.

Of course other teams aren’t really inquiring seriously. It’s a big contract too.

  5. Maybe it’d would be easier for Cronin if Dame didn’t have such a suffocating contract at his age?

  6. Hahahaha we got dem hoes against the ropes, Dame and the Godfather gonna put Cronin and the blazers thru the table, Dudley boyz style

  7. I think my biggest worry would be the Blazers holding out till the trade deadline. They don’t have to do anything if they don’t want. They could technically just let Dame rot on the bench if they wanted to go scorched earth. It’s not like Portland gets Hugh grade FAs anyways.

  8. The reporter seems to act like the trade dictates how successful the rebuild will be and gives a range between a KD and Beal deal.

I seriously doubt offers go from no serious offers to KD deal.

Also, what’s going to make or break the rebuild is going to be actually hitting on picks and developing players, the actual hard stuff to do.

  9. Lol why would other teams put out a big offer on the table, that surely would get leaked, cause internal issues for a guard whose age a salary doesn’t fit into the timeline for most teams?

  10. Does anyone else feels like this reads like the Blazers want to trade to anyone but Miami, even if it’s a worse deal, just to spite Dame?

  11. I see a lot of blazers come here and get all mad at offers, like they saw the offersheet themselves….

Imagine the following scenario: miami starts season without Dame, and we just manage to stay in top3-5 just like that, Herro takes it up a notch, Jovic develops as fast as he grows, JJJr just about the perfect role player off the bench.

And now deadline hits. And our offer goes down even further because our players just exploded, dame on the otherhand was benched and tanked his value even further for other offers to come up.

Suddenly, POR gets even less picks, and one less player they planned.

Don’t forget that Miami development team guys. You like telling us we’re on the clock, same goes for you though.

    ….

Hoping this doesn’t age like milk now!
