[JFresh] K’Andre Miller, signed 2x$3.9M by NYR, is a young defence-first top four defenceman

This can’t be, I was told by Rangers fans he was terrible defensively and we should have kept Mikkola instead.
A lot of people will criticize that characterization because they overemphasize individual goals scored, but as the microstats show, he’s also very good at finishing and goal scoring for a defenseman. His issue is that the *team* doesn’t do better offensively when he’s on the ice… Might have to do with that guy they chain him to, though.
Overpaid for a bridge.
Hopefully coaching staff will try some new pairings with D. An underrated problem last year was the lack of trying anything new on D.

This kid has HIGH offensive potential. This post is completely inaccurate aside from what he’s getting paid.
Odd because we as a fan base consider him an offensive minded defenseman lol
put him and Fox on the same line, and he could blossom to a superstar. But I feel you could say the same thing about any Dman pairing with Fox.
