A buddy and I each drafted a Twins all time team. Who ended up with the better squad?

Only base on these guy’s time with the Twins, not other teams

  1. We drafted only off of the top of the head, so we couldn’t research or look guys up. Thats why there’s a couple clear players missed, and why team 1’s bullpen looks so rough

  2. And is it peak or career avg for each? I’d probably take team 2 based on the bullpen difference, but peak year would make a big difference

  3. Garver over Mauer and no Puckett on team 2. As Weezer would say…say it ain’t so!!

  4. It surprises me that T2 managed to get both Killebrew and Carew, yet I like T1’s lineup better. T2’s bullpen is fire though while T1’s is ass

That doesn’t answer the question but that’s what stands out

  5. Team one, clearly better lineup. Team 2 better all-around pitching. Always gotta go with the pitching.

  6. Team 1 has a slightly better lineup but team 2 has the better rotation and bullpen.

  7. Team 2 has so much better pitching, that the slight offensive edge team 1 has is moot. The four best closers of Twins history, that’s just too good.

  8. Earl Battey, Brian Harper or AJ Pierzynski would’ve both been better choices than Garver on team 2 also Zoilo Versalles over Smalley every day of the week and twice on Sunday

  9. I’m taking team 2 because it’s well rounded. The fact you did this off the top of your head which made this more fun.

    Shoutout Scott Baker

  10. I think there should be bench players for each team. And I think Michael Cuddyer should be the super utility bench man for one of these teams. When with the Twins he was capable of playing 8 positions. The only reason it wasn’t 9 is because they didn’t wanna risk injury by letting him catch.

  11. I guess David Ortiz doesn’t count….and whose Allison 😂 what about Michael Cuddyer or Denard Span. Jim Thome, Kurt Suzuki, Jacque Jones, Shannon Stewart, Matt Garza

  12. Everyone ragging on the bullpen on team 1, and rightly so but with either starting rotation it just doesn’t seem to matter much.

  13. If you’re choosing the best, how can you not have Carew, Killebrew, and Puckett on the same team?

  14. Is this a peak or career draft?

If peak then ‘06 Liriano is the best pitcher this team has ever seen and it’s not close.
