PFF puts Shane Waldron as the #4 OC in the league. Thoughts?

Schotty at #10 feels kinda sus though lol
The thing about this list is that most of the best offensive play callers are their team’s HC rather than OC, so you’re working with a diluted talent pool.
I think the Monken hire was great for the ravens but idk how he can be on the list already tbh
Eric Bieney should be number one until proven otherwise.
BoB made an offense lead by Bryce Young with Gibbs look fucking atrocious at times. No way should be be anywhere near this top 10 list. Hell i would put him at 30 until proven otherwise.
Outside of that I think this is a pretty good list although I can’t tel if a lot of these OCs are here because they are actually good or because they have a bunch of weapons on offense (with a few exceptions).
Yet they have Pete ranked 17th for head coaches lmao
He needs to be 3rd on this list. If the team takes another step forward next season he could be gone.
This whole list is a trip. Let’s go step by step.
1. Ben Johnson. I mean, maybe. He got a good season out of Goff, but it’s one season and he did it behind a stacked offensive line.
2. Kellen Moore — was allowed to leave Dallas. If he’s so good wouldn’t they have kept him?
3. Bill O’Brien — hasn’t been an NFL OC in years. Rather rich to assume he will be this great immediately.
4. Waldron — could be this good! Even the last season with Wilson wasn’t nearly as bad as it felt. Lots of credit for the good Geno season. This one is fine.
5. Dorsey — lol. Ask a Bills fan about this. They wouldn’t place him top 10 for sure.
6. Bienemy — I hate to say it but Mahomes, Reid and Kelce feel responsible for the success. I hope to be proven wrong.
7. Monken — like O’Brien, I guess we just assume he became excellent in his years away. They did both lose their jobs for actual reasons, and I guess we ignore that?
8. Nagy — so, we didn’t watch the Bears? How does this guy get credit for anything?
9. Cooter — I liked his original Lions’ stuff but had no idea he was even the Colts OC. He won’t be calling plays so this is a weird one.
10. Schott — won’t be calling plays and has been fired as OC on multiple occasions.
This list feels like garbage, but maybe the conclusion is that OCs do less than ever and we have no idea what they are responsible for.
Jim bob cooter always cracks me up
I’ve always loved Jim Bob Cooter’s name. An all American classic
Bill o brien at 3 says it all. And who are Ben Johnson and todo monken. Sounds like fake names 😀.
I also like seeing Schottenheimer get respect. He didn’t do anything wrong in Seattle and was fired to cover up deeper issues.
I think there’s 3 overrated offensive coordinators.
Let’s go!
How do they even measure this….
Why exactly did Bienemy leave KC for the exact same job?
I think coming from the McVey tree is bumping him up a few more spots than he should IMO.
this must be fake because PFF notoriously only covers 31 NFL teams
I don’t care and I never do. Only W’s count.
Something isn’t right here. Nobody every considers anyone from Seattle top 5 at anything. lol
These feel more like predictions for 2023 than anything else
