  1. Things I found interesting:

    – He worked under 3 coaches, which is damn impressive in this league.
    – JT Miller was one of the most creative guys on the PP; brought a lot of ideas to the table.
    – Diamond penalty kill disrupts the typical 1-3-1 and you have to be creative. PK is at the point where innovation has to happen on the PP side again.
    – Given the right personnel, he can see teams running 2 D or 5 forwards on the PP.
    – Most guys just get slappers on net, Petey is so good he can aim his slapper, and that’s probably why you see so many posts with him. He’s hitting bar while other guys are missing or hitting pads.
    – Suggests Kuzy and Boes playing the bumper (where Horvat was)
    – Says Hoggy and Podz have 2nd PP potential. “The skill set is there, especially with Pods”

  2. I’m somewhat intrigued by his idea of running 5F on the PP. I kind of wonder how our PP would look if we replaced Hughes with a shooter. We’re already using Miller as the QB for the most part and having another threat rather than a QB-light would be interesting. It seems most PK’s read any pass from Miller to Hughes and just shift straight to cover Petey, so even if Hughes can pass well his options are too often covered since they usually don’t come out to challenge him so it doesn’t open much up.

  3. This guy’s run with the Sedins reminds me of Al Bundy scoring 4 touchdowns in a single game playing for Polk High.
