What’s your favorite Broncos era?

  1. The Elway era. All of it, even the Super Bowl defeats. Because we won the 2 at the end, it felt like a journey of self discovery on the path to victory.

It was also basically my childhood and football was never as central to my life as it was in the late 80s and early 90s. I had no girlfriend, mortgage or money worries, my life was basically school, hang out with buddies, play backyard football, play Madden, read about and think about football, it was an amazing time and the Broncos were at the heart of my life. I remember when Reagan left the Oval Office and did that speech about a shining city on a hill, I thought that was Mile High and the Denver Broncos.

I remember when we started the 1999 season with Brian Griese, I knew we would not be contenders for a while, but I just felt a sense of contentment. The whole journey I had been through as a Broncos fan was justified because of those 2 Super Bowl wins and I knew that whatever happened going forwards I would always take winning or losing in my stride and never be as worked up about the Broncos as I used to be, because I had seen them do what I dreamed about all through my childhood. Anything else from then on would just be a bonus.

  2. I know the Elway Era is the winner but damn the Peyton Manning days were epic. After he carried us for those 3 seasons it was so cool seeing the team win won for him in his last game.
