[Noah Strang] The Vancouver Canucks’ updated trade value tier list

  1. A tough read. Obviously Lekkerimaki and Willander are worth more than Boeser. The list is broken into categories but is also numbered..

  2. Solid enough list, I guess. I’d switch around the Boeser and Garland placements though.
If any team offered us anything other than another cap dump for Boeser, I’d jump at it. Garland, on the other hand, I still think is a very useful player and would score more if given the chance.

  3. “We’re quietly hoping you take him” and JT Miller is just dumb. This team is trying to compete and giving up an 80-90pt centre that carries a PP is the last thing they want regardless of how his contract ages in 3-4 years

  4. Garlands contract is going to be way more appealing next season when the cap rises. For now he’ll be given a ton of 5v5 icetime under this coach and hopefully he’ll produce at a 50 point pace.

  5. Frankly I think Demko should go into the same tier as EP40 and Hughes. If we’re not hanging on to him as our backstop, we might as well call this core over and go into full rebuild mode.

  6. Serious question, do the writers on this site get paid for this level of analysis? I’ve seen fans on Reddit and HFBoards provide more nuanced, reasoned, and balanced analysis for free. Are the players being ranked based on their likelihood of being traded, or on their overall trade value? The writer can’t seem to make up their mind.

CanucksArmy was better when it was led by Rhys Jessop, Patrick Johnston, Drancer and the original group of writers who have a scouting eye and a pulse on the team. Now, like any other site out there, they seem to get random university students desperate for exposure to put out poorly thought-out articles like this for engagement.

  7. This website is fucking awful on mobile. Adjust where screen is. Jumps up and down, then for some reason tried to open up a whole brand new window but gives a “a problem occurred” and a blank screen. I gave up trying to read when I got to the EP (D) part
