And then to end it Kenley with a 3 pitch save like a parent coming to bail you out of incompetence, I got 2nd hand embarassment for Tayler Scott.
I have been down on this team all year but at this point I think you have to be buyers at the deadline. It’s no longer “Well, they’re within striking distance of a wild card spot” this team is gonna legit compete for a wild card spot. As much as I’d love to flip guys like Paxton and Jansen for prospects, I think competing is good for a team’s identity not just in a given year but over the course of a few years. I think it’ll be good for the maturation of guys like Bello to be in a playoff hunt this year.
I wouldn’t sell the farm but I’d see if I could add a number 3 or 4 starter, maybe a starting caliber 2B and seeing if this team can make a run.
