Sad to see Yonny go, I was hoping he could bounce back after the injury but it was the right decision.
Sucks for him but allowing three solo shots to Royals players who didnt hit hard all weekend definitely shows he doesn’t have it.
I was rooting for the guy, but he may be a case where TJS ruins who you were.
I asked for this, so I can’t feel too bad about it. Good luck Yonny!

Tell Aranda to learn to play second base ASAP
Damn, this is just a sad DFA. Yonny had a lot of really good starts and bulk appearances when back in April and May. But he started getting more and more inconsistent, and I think yesterday showed he just doesn’t have it. Hope he finds success elsewhere.
Man this sucks but it was the right call. Yonny started out really hot. If we happen to get a ring this year (either the pennant or the WS), I hope Chirinos gets one, too.
I think Yonny recently earned enough major league service time that he can’t be sent down without his consent, even if he still had an option this year. Not sure what Yonny will choose if he clears waivers. Maybe he’s a pitcher that needs a few years to recover all the way back from TJ, like Alex Cobb has this year.
