Good to see Carpenter draw a couple of walks. He’s mostly done a good job of laying off the breaking stuff when he isn’t in 2 strike situations, but so far hasn’t been drawing many walks. If he could tick that walk rate into the 8% range it will go a long way to keeping him a dangerous hitter long term. Especially if teams start to pitch him a little more carefully.
