Sam Merrill (27 points, 6 3PM) and Emoni Bates (19 points, 5 rebounds) added a combined 46 points in the win for the Cavaliers. While Nate Hinton tallied 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Rockets. The Cavaliers finish 6-0 in the 2K24 Summer League and win the franchise’s first Summer League championship.

Cavs played well. It was clear the Rockets were gassed. Definitely the top 2 teams in the summer league. Bates really shined surprisingly. I know he's good, but he seems to be a good teammate too. Hinton for the Rockets really has a high motor and dog mentality. Not sure if he's NBA talent ready, but I wouldn't be surprised if he continued to move up in the G-League and be on an NBA roster one day. Hudgins also really impressed me. Small, but he can ball.
