At least the bats are back. Winning streak starts tomorrow
Unacceptable skid even for a bad team
We have failed Luke Weaver
Hope Tony has fun in Louisville
I am not having fun currently.
That error cost us damn
Hello darkness my old friend
This streak has been so painful.
Realistically, we played pretty amazingly offensively. I mean that’s awesome with 10 runs and I think 14 hits?
Pitching, y’know..
What is a win? I think we used all of ours up.
Brutal luck on those Steer and McClain outs. Glad the offense got going and it was good to see the team fight. These streaks happen but damn do they fucking suck
At least we have Joe Burrow this fall
Losing fucking sucks, but tonight they looked a lot better than they have recently. I think they come out of this funk sooner rather than later
Fuck a starter, trade for some relievers. This bullpen is toast
Wonder what would’ve happened if Bell didn’t yank Duarte early over someone else’s error
Sell.
Didn’t anyone tell him not to hit into a double play before he went to bat?
This is a reminder: we are a very young team, and this is very much the type of season I am more expecting. An exciting team that may still struggle to get wins against very good teams.
Cant expect to win throwing guys from the pen that not even the Athletics would entertain
Fuck it brewers lost and we put up 10 runs way better than losing 0-1
We’re headed for under .500 again. It was nice while it lasted. Hopefully we don’t make some stupid asinine trade to ADD to this team at the expense of the future.
Score double digits, still lose. The win streak cursed the team apparently.
That feels like the season.
At least we scored runs.. but I’m afraid this loss will be very damaging to morale. Hope I am wrong and it pumps them up but my morale is rock bottom and I’m just watching. Still a lot of potential with this team.
Just need to stay within 3 games by the end of this month
When do we get to play the easy teams again
Tony better not be on this team tomorrow morning.
Squibber from Matos to score 2 runs: 89 mph. GIDP up the middle from Steer: 104 mph. Laser from McLain in the 8th with Stephenson on 2nd: 108 mph.
Sometimes you just get unlucky. They were doing stuff like that in the Miley game too. Hopefully the bats are back and tomorrow will be more fun.
Big bounce back game for the offense. The pitching will look better whenever we have our whole bullpen available. Instead of santillan we’d probably see sims
Reds pitching walked 8 dudes.
If you want to point to why we lost, that’s one of the main reasons.
Just joined this r/ this year and Jesus, I’m glad that our Bengals sub isn’t this doom and gloom when they go on losing tears. There’s still months left of baseball and this team is extremely young. We knew we had trouble with pitching, that’s why our draft looked how it did.
8 walks
Pitching hasn’t always been great, bats have mainly gone cold, sprinkle in some bad luck, you might find yourself in a six game losing streak. This team has the potential to go on a ten game winning streak. Gonna continue to keep positive thoughts.
10 runs. And we still lose.
Our schedule is brutal right now.
1-7 with Chris Welsh in the radio booth
I hope someone sidekicks bells foot into his own on the way down the tunnel. Ugh…..baseball I hate love you
People acting like the sky is falling when we’ve only been outscored by 9 runs across 6 games. The losses are painful and the consecutive shutouts hurt especially, but the biggest loss was only 3-0. We’re not getting crushed. Any of these games could easily have been wins if one or two plays had gone differently. Chill
Who else saw the end of that Votto interview
I’m sure Luke Weaver is a great guy, but I am VERY much looking fowards to 2024, when I never have to watch him pitch again.
This stretch has been a depressing, sobering, but necessary reminder that we’re not there yet.
Don’t trade the farm for pitching. Enjoy the year, get your rookies experience, and spend money this winter. Go into 2024 a more experienced and talented club.
Reds now have the longest losing streak in MLB. I would suspect a better manager would not let this happen.
They need to go on the road again. For whatever reason we can’t win at home
Fire everyone, bulldoze the stadium and build a parking lot! Is that what we’re going with?
Not blaming him for the loss, but the Elly strikeouts are getting to be a lot. Mainly because the strategy of the way he gets pitched to is so predictable. Same thing they were working on with him down in Louisville. Lay off some of those, you know they’re gonna be low and out of the zone.
Congrats to JDV on the 350.
Last day of July/August the schedule lightens up, but it’s a rough one from the ASG until the end of this month.
Sorry Weaver got hurt but he is our worst starting pitcher and our bullpen is terrible
