Can someone lip read Sandy and Nevin in this clip from yesterday’s game?

   Was Nevin scolding at Sandy for ignoring him going into the dugout? I assume that Sandy was mad at Nevin for trying to take him out of the game, but I’m not sure what to make of Nevin’s body language here.

3. Looks like Nevin told him he was done but Sandy objected to it. I believe this is the clip that Locked on Angels talked about were Sandy and Nevin eventually agreed for him to go back out.

4. Well if you will based what is written in the Japanse subtitle. It says that Sandy still want to go back to the mound. But he already exceed the 90 pitches so Nevin is against it. But Sandy is being stubborn and reasoning and insisting that he still want to continue so in the end Nevin let him.

5. Sandy needs to stay in his lane. Just do your job and let the manager manage.

6. I think the last 5 seconds Sandy says “I wanna go back out” or “I can go back out”.

   Nevin then pauses while staring at Sandy and nods and says “okay”.

7. Yeah I’m not sure how many guys on the team like Nevin…we need the body language doctor on the case for a few games (iykyk)

8. I’m a huge proponent for replacing our entire management team ASAP, but I will admit this is the best coaching I’ve seen Nevin do, in terms of both letting him back out, and then pulling him after the first base hit.

   All year we’ve pulled at the wrong time, consistently too early or too late, rarely when it made sense. This whole scenario played out exactly like it should. Credit where it’s due.
