Were they waiting for the official ceremony to retire 27? Their SOP has usually been, HoF immediately retire number. Or, lifetime franchise player immediately retire number. Waiting on 4 and 5 also.
I will always love Scott Rolen and am so happy for him. I miss his leadership.
Both speeches were great! Two gentlemen of the game. Nice shout out to the white rat’s service during Korean War. And beautiful weather to boot!
