I’m too attached to everyone in the farm system so I always feel sad when trades are made
Would love a Teoscar reunion
Pitching depth makes me think of guys like Lorenzen, Mitch Keller, Flaherty etc
It might be a good idea to target a pitcher that can slide well into the bullpen if Ryu just takes over. Meaning maybe not getting a guy like Hendricks for example
Wonder if Seattle would part with Sewald?
STR00000000
T30000000000!!!!!
Get you a player who can do both….
I’m telling ya – an impact bat that fires up the base like the David Price trade did is the best thing they could do. Tinker = toast. They could have 6 solid SP’s by September and a bullpen with Richards, Romano, Swanson, Pearson, Garcia, Jackson, Green, Mayza. Pitching has depth already. Not to say improving it wouldn’t be great, but they clearly need a bat to spark the team.
Would be funny if Seattle trades Teo back and then we still dont extend him…
That RH OF? It’s gonna be Handsome Randall. They’re already paying part of his salary hahaha.
Why right handed hitter? I thought Atkins was in love with lefties.
Lol
Whit can be that OF, he’s hitting well over .300 with close to .800 OPS against LHP.
I’d look at grabbing Brendan Donovan, Nolan Gorman or Ryan McMahon. These guys are all versatile defensively, with above-average bats.
Gorman would be my first choice as he would immediately become our best lefty hitter, but he would cost the most.
TEOSCARNANDEZ Let’s bring him back for Buck.
I’m looking forward to people getting extremely angry over a fringe prospect getting traded.
When Atkins says he wants a Starter with Options it makes me think we’ll try to get **Kopech**.
A quality enough arm, cheap, we can stash in the minors without DFA anyone of consequence. Pretty much he’ll just serve as a Plan C if Ryu and Manoah sucks beyond the pale. Can even serve as Bullpen depth too.
This seems to be the prevailing wisdom. It’ll be interesting to see what happens. I’m crossing my fingers for a Stroman reunion but doubt it happens.
I’d like to see them pick up Nelson Cruz if for no other reason than to have a legendary veteran hitter on the bench, for Vlad’s sake, among others.
Make it a left hander and bring in Bellinger along with Stroman
Guess Shohei is out as he’s left handed. The dream can officially die.
