Could Luka be the first to get $400 million?

  1. Yeah probably. With the world wide appeal he’d probably be worth it. He’s in that LeBron, Kobe, Shohei Ohtani,Tom Brady etc level of worldwide star at the top of their league

  2. Luka should check off all the boxes when it’s time to sign his extension.

His spot on All-NBA teams is nothing short of a lock.

MVP? I feel like it’s a matter of when, not if.

I also don’t see him bailing before it’s time to sign his next extension, despite Doomers swearing he has one foot out the door already. If anything, leaving before his extension leaves a shit ton of money on the table, just not smart on a business sense.

  3. The cap going up means revenue goes up. While he will be the first, many other lesser players will sign for the same given that the max is the same for everyone(with the qualifiers). And the cap will go up again and he won’t be the highest paid.

Long story short, it’s still a no brainer for any team. The rest of the roster construction is much more important.
