There isn’t a lineup combination in the league that can stop or beat McDavid, and then you’re giving him Tkachuk and Pasta
Four. That’s such a suffocating defensive lineup and it’s got some asshole in it too.
It’s gotta be 1 but I think 3 would put up the best fight against lineup 1 if they were going head to head. Otter is just too clutch
1 easy
2 has Ullmark. Don’t want in the playoffs
3 I don’t trust Hughes and Karlsson. Don’t want in the playoffs.
4 is close but not quite
Lineup 4 intrigues me the most. a top 3 goalie behind a lineup of winners (+ brady)
3. Every player is a threat every time they touch the ice and oetty can steal games
4 if everyone is healthy and well and it’s unquestionably the best roster overall
Line 2 is noticably worse than the others. The forwards are a tier down imo
1 has McDavid, hard to pass up.
I like 3 for overall.
1. Betting against McDavid is foolish, especially with those two flanking him. And he’s used to playing with the weaker defense and goaltending.
3 would be second choice.
1, that’s overpowered
Is Jarry suppose to hurt #1 because to me it’s still #1.
if you had Josi and Makar you would split them up for maximum effectiveness
I’m biased but 2. Love me some Zuke and Makar is officially my favorite non-Hab since Bergy retired.
Line 1 is basically the oilers with Tkachuk instead of Kane. Would still be lethal though.
Line 2 just having Makar and Josi would be incredible. The forwards are noticeably weaker than line 1
Line 3…eh I don’t think a Karlsson and Quinn combo will be effective. They’re similar players. Can be game breaking if they figure it out though.
Line 4 seems to be the most “playoff” type of squad. But they have a lot of collective mileage in them.
I like line 1 and line 4
I’m going with 1
I’m taking 3 or 4.
1 has a ridiculously good forward group but I’m not going to rely on Jarry when Oettinger or Sorokin are on the board.
4. Far and away the best balance of the lineup. Top 5 goalie, 2 top Dmen, and all 3 forwards are great at both ends of the ice.
It’s 1 bc McDavid but a lot of this comment section is sleeping on 4, which is the clear runner-up IMO
Lineup 3
Between 1 and 4 but I’m taking 1 because best player in the world with Pasta and Tkachuk brings toughness. Also Jarry is solid, Weegar is ok and Power is underrated.
4 > 2 > 1 > 3
4. Might struggle to score but so would the other team.
Breaking News:
Tristan Jarry is injured. McDavid has to start in goal.
#4 has 4 winners and is built for playoff hockey. Plus Sorokin
Lineup 2 Svech is a beast
4 but it’s pretty close with every other one.
Lineup 4
I would love to see 3 in a 7 game series. Basically roll out a power play lineup and rely on Oetter to make enough saves to win every game 7-4
The forwards are so much worse for line 2 than the others
