Well that sucked some MAJOR ass
This loss is on the Twins pitching staff.
I’m even more angry now than I was when it was 8-3.
1. We cannot stand pat at the deadline. There are obvious and clear movements we can make (righty bat, bullpen)
2. We ABSOLUTELY cannot send down Wallner tomorrow for Polanco/Buxton (Larnach can go). That is straight up malpractice
3. Why is Cole Sands?
4. July Joe has been sad
5. Gallo ill or Gallo “ill”? Because of point 2 im thinking it might be the latter
A series we definitely should’ve swept. Oh well. On to the next.
Did we have any chance to tie the game after we got it to 1 run? I had to stop watching after lunch
2 absolutely brutal losses in completely different fashions lol
If it’s not the bullpen, it’s the hitting. If it’s not the hitting, it’s the starting pitching. If it’s not the starting pitching, it’s the bullpen. So frustrating how there’s always some part of the game that blows up.
But but but hottest team in baseball.

Hopefully the off day lets Winder survive the drop off the roster because an optionable reliever threw a bunch of innings move.
At least we learned how to hit
Glad we battled back, but this series highlighted how badly we need some reinforcements for the bullpen
Twins offense finally comes alive at the precise moment when the pitching regresses. It would be funny if it wasn’t so predictable
Man we had the guardians teetering on the edge 4 games back and lost two completely winnable games due to awful bullpen pitching and let the get right back in the race. We absolutely need a couple bullpen arms at the deadline. Thielbar and Stewart both coming off a month+ on the IL do’t really give me a lot of confidence to say the bullpen is fixed
Tough losses these last two games, but on the positive side the offense is keeping up their post-ASB production, and they showed life even after falling to a 5-run deficit. Without the untimely walks the Twins probably win both of these games, even moreso if they can get runners on base before dropping bombs.
Hopefully as we get our bullpen back to full strength we can avoid more heartbreakers like last night.
The last two games have been terrible to watch but honestly didn’t shake my confidence much. Bad outings for some pitchers but the offense had some fight especially the bottom of the line up
