  1. I mean, when he gets the MVP next year, it’ll be hard to argue he’s not worth it.

  2. It’s actually a pretty easy thing to predict. Just need to find where the salary cap is big enough to allow a contract that big and see who is the first eligible player for a max contract. Everyone always complains about ‘insert player x’ shouldn’t earn more than ‘insert player y’. Most teams have one player contenders maybe two who are worth max contracts and the highest payed is just who ever signed the most recent max/supper max because that’s when the cap is biggest.

  3. unless if he gets us a ring then it wont be worth it, i ddont care about mvp as much if he gets the 400mill since i would think it would be an over pay

  4. And cripple our budget to get other players. He’s an excellent player, definitely worth big bucks but thanks to the new CBA this would hurt the ability for us to put good quality talent surrounding him.
