  1. Honestly I think we’re better just streaming kickers. Teams waive and cut kickers in season so we can just play the waiver wire.

  2. Also isn’t Robbie Gould (one of the best ranked kickers in league history) still a free agent?

  3. Those missed XPs in the playoffs really sucked, but he only missed 3 FGs all season, and 2 of those were from 50+ yards. One game’s worth of the yips shouldn’t be enough to write a guy off forever

  4. Maher had around a 90% FG rate over the last 2 seasons. McManus had 80%. He also had a better long penalty conversion rate.

He choked big time in the playoff game but if he can avoid that this year, he is at worst comparable to McManus for a third of the price.

  5. He’ll be the poster child for the yips in football, and maybe in sports, for years to come. But he’s been solid for a long time. I’m down.

  6. He’s going to be more consistent than McMoney has been the past few years and that’s all we can ask for. I believe his long is 63 or 64 yards as well. In Denver that could be longer. I like this.

  7. In other words we were able to get a decent kicker on the cheap cause he embarrassed himself.

  8. I feel like he was easily the best option out there. All aboard the Maher playoff redemption arc.
