Honestly after Irsay publicly tweeted that, I’m afraid that the bridge is on fire and at risk of burning down.
I feel like he might try and request a trade at this point

Every year with this team, it’s one thing or another.
His profile didn’t have Colts on it before today. Bowen talked about it on the radio briefly.
The talk of the entire league right now is how running backs feel undervalued and under appreciated, and Jim’s bright idea is to unnecessarily pour gas on the fire making our star running back even more upset. The people around Irsay need to tell him to keep his mouth shut on the internet the rest of the offseason.
He changed this stuff prior to all the twitter stuff tonight FYI

It’s been like that for at least a day already.
I’m so tired of all these drama queens. You choose a profession and then complain you aren’t getting your fair share….welcome to life.
Goddamnit, just when we start to get some fun fucking players again after Luck, Irsay decides not to pay his STAR FUCKING RUNNING BACK. Not in the mood for this shit today.
JT will play this year and get franchised next year it is what is. Life of runningback in 2023.
Passive aggressive.
Just sit down and figure it out. Idk how or what but it’s better than teenager like things.
He’s a RB. It’s not worth the hassle. He wasn’t any better than his replacement last year, will be the same case this year.
Jim Irsay is one of the worst owners in the league. The only sure things this team has is two “near-elite” at worst players on offense, JT and Big Q. AR5 is a massive question mark and could benefit from 4 years of having a RB that can take the load off him. If AR5 doesn’t hit we’re gonna truly know what it’s like to be the Lions and Browns
Man,’I love JT as much as anyone and really would love to see him here and happy the next few years, BUT…why the fuck does he feel so entitled to get a pay raise right now? Like, you agreed to the contract, there’s still another year left on that contract, and you were injured last year. I absolutely agree with players trying to get paid, and I also totally agree they should look out for themselves first because the team will always look out for their interests first too. But it’s not like the is was a contract year for him…I just don’t get it, I guess.
The top running backs need to understand that there are hundreds of people that would absolutely love to be in the position they are in right now AND would be able to mostly replace their current production.
In addition, with the shift towards passing due to analytics, running back is a devalued position. No need to invest extra into “less valuable” positions when you already have sunk a lot of money into a guard and a ILB
A lot of terrible takes here!
Irsay probably shouldn’t have tweeted anything.
Unpopular opinion coming
But if he’s going to sit out this season then at this point just trade him to a nfc team.
No player is worth this headache unless they’re generational
And JT is a great running back but he’s no edge. And can be replaced
UPDATE:
“Deleted the previous tweet about the profile pic/header/bio from JT’s Twitter and Instagram. Apparently it had been changed a few days ago and I’m not one to stoke unnecessary flames from an already hot situation. Just found the changes notable from his previous profile.”

It’s crazy how fast fanbases turn on their players because of wanting a long term contract. Recently witnessed it in the Giants sub. Shitted on Saquon and then he signed that 1 year deal and acted like nothing happened.
I really wish Irsay would stfu and stay out of stuff like this. What good did that do? It’s gonna sour not only JT but potentially any player we would have interest in. I wouldn’t want to play for an owner that is passive aggressive towards his own players.
Next man up! Let’s Go!
We need him for the breakout in 2024. Might as well make him happy now. Seriously though, I just don’t think we have a chance until we out Irsay in a home. That guy isn’t just a shit owner, he’s deluded and more of a detriment to this team than a benefit. Roast me if you want but you all know it’s true…
