Eric Chavez is 1 of 11 players ever with 250+ HRs and 0 All-Star Game appearances 🤯
For all you @ImmaculateGrid players out there, here's your one free hint: #Athletics 3B Eric Chavez was never an All-Star in his career 🤯
In fact, he is one of 11 players ever with 250+ career HRs and zero ASGs — he also has six Gold Gloves.https://t.co/RwCsNvCkGs pic.twitter.com/sxw5KqXxKM

absolutely mindblowing he was never an AS. guy was probably the best all around 3B in the league from 01-05 and instead of him, you had guys like shea hillenbrand and troy glaus starting the ASG at 3rd. how did he not even make it as a reserve?
Silver slugger and gold glove in 2002, still didn’t appear. Unreal.
Being a slow starter didn’t help his case. His 1st/2nd half split was quite significant and he was known for that.
All Star games are for the top performers of the 1st half of a season. I still believe he could/should have gotten in to 1 or 2, but if I remember correctly he was generally a slow starter and would really shine in the 2nd half.
He was CONSTANTLY injured…
