Yeah, but it wouldn’t make sense. Devin has been lights out the entire year and I think has maybe blown two saves total. There are things we need so much more than Hader back.
It would be hilarious but there is no way the Padres would trade Hader back with getting a big haul from the Brewers. That would basically be admitting defeat and there are plenty of teams that can use Hader.

It’s interesting that the Padres are essentially treating Hader as a one-year rental. It goes to show the relative value of even elite closers.

I think it would be a solid move all jokes aside, we would be unstoppable past the 6th inning, even 5th inning if needed. If the cost isn’t too high then why not?
I’m sure we all had the same thought, but nah. We’re good with our 7, 8, 9 relievers. Bringing Hader back to be our 7th or 8th inning guy would just be weird and shaking another reliever’s confidence for no big improvement.
If the price is right I’m down. Offense is probably gonna be unreliable no matter what so might as well double down on pitching
