[Jack Harris] Per one scout, an equivalent Dodgers package (for Giolito) could have looked like Rushing + one of their AA arms (like Nastrini or Hurt).

  1. If true, that’s fucked. Insane Dodger tax just because their farm is so stacked. If that’s the price tag for a pitcher like Giolito then I’m not expecting much at this deadline.

  2. That is way to much for a rental lmao. Friedman isn’t a desperate GM who will get cooked like that. Got Darvish for nothing and only one player in the Machado trade ended up being decent.

  3. Maybe not Giolito, but we still need starting pitching

Our staff just gave up 21 runs in 3 games against the Blue Jays. That’s the type of offense our pitching will face in the playoffs. I’m confident we can make the playoffs, but once we are there it’s hard to trust anyone against an actual playoff caliber lineup right now.

I know it’s about getting hot in October, but still usually any team that’s made a deep run has always had a good staff to back it up. At least a strong 1,2 if not 1,2,3. (Phillies had Wheeler and Nola), (Padres had Snell, Musgrove, Darvish)

  4. Rushing + Nastrini for Giolito..no way. Now I would do that for say Dylan Cease or Corbin Burnes.

  5. There’s no way on earth that’s true

Best case scenario for Quero is he hits 15 home runs and sticks at catcher(and he’s bad at catching) the bat won’t play at a non catcher position. rushing has a way higher ceiling. Bush sits at 92 has issues with offspeed and command and injuries. Nastrini and Hurt have some of the best pure stuff in minor league baseball. Nastrini was labeled as the 2nd highest ceiling of the arms in the dodgers system by ProspectsLive
