>Cook asked by @KyleBrandt if he has any other visits scheduled. Says he’ll huddle with his agent and discuss but right now it’s “one step at a time. The Jets are right at the top of the list so let’s go check the box.”
*Translation: a team that pays me what I think I’m worth*
While that may be true he’s also looking for that check.
If sports movies taught me anything, it’s that athletes that refer to themselves in the third person are elite.
Dolphins fans tears are gonna taste so good when we sign him
For what it’s worth, Cook next team odds with jets on Draftkings went from +400 and 3rd behind fins & pats on July 18, to -400 now with pats 2 at +425 and fins 3 at +850. I placed $20 to win $100 when the odds were +400, so if we sign
him I’ll be a little extra pumped haha.
i don’t wanna love on nobody

Cook was 6th in rushing last year, 12th in all-purpose yards behind Jacobs, Henry, McCaffrey, Chubb, Barkley, Ekeler, and Jones. He averaged 69 Y/G, down from prior seasons. He was earning an average of 12.6m on his last contract. I would give him 11.5m for two years putting him at 5th with Jones since Hall is such a question mark this season. I think that’s fair, can’t see him getting significantly more with the current market. We seem to have ~16m in cap space.
