  1. In no way should we trade with the Dodgers. They always somehow end up shipping off a “top prospect” who ends up sucking while the prospects they held onto go crazy.

The Machado trade the top 100 prospect included is now a 26 year old back with the Dodgers farm system and the best two players ended up Dean Kremer and Zach Pop. Kremer isn’t bad or anything special and Pop is a mid reliever with Toronto now.

The Nationals trade – Ruiz and Gray have been okay, but there were better starting pitchers and better catchers in their system lol. Certainly not a great return for a Scherzer rental and 1.5 years of Trea Turner.

The Betts trade is highway robbery, taking on David Price isn’t worth that much.

Pham isn’t worth any of what the other three trades fetched but somehow we’d end up worse off just to help out the Dodgers. Forget that

  2. Interesting… well if we have any injured players the twins medical staff seems pretty chill so let’s talk. Hey twins… ‘every team is asking for Marte, so don’t you dare try as well 😉’

  3. Why not? Let’s use this disaster of a year to jump forward a season or two rebuilding the depth of our farm system – the single biggest gaping hole for our franchise.

Neither of these guys are long term irreplaceable cornerstones of our future success (as much as Canha is AWESOME).

Get some pieces. Maybe hit the lotto. Maybe get enough depth to help secure a big deal be it offseason or, preferably next years deadline.
