Most likely going to be dealt if Cardinals and Hicks can not agree on an extension.

I don’t trust anything off BR cause they’re shit but this seems to be the general consensus if he’s not extended.

I don’t understand the desire to extend Hicks. Half this sub wanted to DFA him at the beginning of the season. He’s been one of the most inconsistent pitchers I’ve ever seen.
Even during the last two months, when he took over the closer role, he still has all the same problems from the beginning of the season. His control is a big issue. He still walks too many batters and gives up way too many hits. He has 1.800 WHIP in July. The one major thing he has going for him is he doesn’t give up homeruns.
I don’t think we’ll ever have higher trade leverage with Hicks. I can’t imagine not trading him right now.
