  1. At this point wins vs losses don’t really matter for this team, but this is still a horrific loss. Too many defensive mistakes, bad pitching, and too little power.

I’m ready for the trade deadline to be owner so that we can actually move forward with this franchise because there are still too many holes across this roster.

  2. The vaunted cavalry returning from the IL has not exactly lived up to the hype.

Edit: ok Greene is back in form more or less. But pitchers less so. We made it through some rough weeks with the mantra “wait til everyone is healthy.” Now everyone is mostly healthy and ..

  3. Please trade Tigers at the Deadline.

Trade Lorenzen to the Astros. Trade Rodriguez to Anaheim.

But don’t stop there, really get the bag. Trade Haase to the Rangers. Trade Vierling to the Pirates. Trade Marisnic to the Mariners. Trade Lange to the Yanks. Trade Akil to Atlanta. Trade Baez to Boston. Trade the whole fucking team except for Tork, Greene, Skupal, and Manning. This is the way that you build a dynasty. Trade Miggy to the Mets while you still can.

Never stop trading, become the richest team.

  4. Roles have really reversed the past week or so. Our offense has actually been really solid with our pitching shitting the bed

  5. In terms of who is having good luck this month, and who is not,

This month, in Rogers’ starts, we are 4-11 with 105 runs allowed in 15 games, 7 runs per game.

In Haase’s starts, we are 8-2, with 15 runs allowed in ten games, 1.5 runs per game.

While Haase did catch Lorenzen several times this month, he also won bullpen games, a Faedo start, and the return of Joey Wentz in a shutout. Whereas Rogers had bad losses in starts by Erod, Manning and Skubal.

I’m not Eric’s college roommate, and would be overjoyed to see both guys get the same results going forward.

But for now, it’s been a depressing pattern.

  6. The baby Tigers need to learn how to develop a killer instinct, they’re letting teams walk all over them.
