3. Sooooo many Jets fans wanted him GONE. Especially when he took the covid opt out. I am happy to say I was never one of those.

4. Remember when everyone wanted CJ cut/traded when he sat out for covid?

5. Probably too high but CJ does deserves recognition. The defense when he is / isn’t in the field is night and day.

6. There’s absolutely not a chance he belongs higher than Aaron Rodgers on a list of best NFL players, nor is there a realistic one where he’s actually the 46th best player in the NFL.

   But he’s also a perfect example of how overpaid does not mean bad at football and I’m glad he’s in the team because he’s a good player and a good leader in an elite defense. While I eventually would like to see his contract off the books I’m simultaneously glad he’s still here because he plays a position that would be paper thin without him and he does a hell of a lot more good out there than bad.

7. I admit. I thought the jets would be a pit stop and he would get traded to the chargers/niners. Glad he’s on our team.

8. He’s lost a step but his brain is still valuable out there. Our defense looks completely different when he’s not out there making sure everyone is in the right spot and communicating….. and because he knows where to be + his instincts he still racks up a ton of tackles despite being a bit slower.

9. Why on earth is Kirk Cousins of all people ahead of Aaron Rodgers?
