  1. Only guy I see them being open to trading would be Bell, and why would anybody want him?

  2. The most obvious statement ever. “We will either have someone pitch who is currently with the organization or we will add someone to the organization to pitch.”

  3. FO is putting up the white flag on this season. Thought that might be the case when we acquired a broken down rental starter. Now that we’ve traded Civale, I’d call it confirmed. We’re going to pull up Plesac or Gaddis.

  4. Battenfield did get scratched the other day so he might be back. Cal could be back as well

  5. Let’s lean into it and just put Hentges back in the rotation. Is JC Mejia available?

  6. lol at antonetti’s comment. They will do absolutely nothing to improve this team.

  7. This means get ready for Battenfield / Gaddis starts which we have no hope of winning.

Just so depressing they are giving up on a season when we are 0.5 games back.

  8. I wish they would acknowledge the mistake they made on Candelario and let us know if they are doubling down on their prospect evaluations so that never happens again.

  9. Juan Soto Padres retain >= 60% of contract and Jay Groome for one of the 40 million middle infielders and Straw pls

  10. I don’t get the negativity. Yes we are not going all in to win a shitty division. It’s frustrating I know but we have to start looking long term. Rash decisions of past have caused the front office to realize their mistakes on evaluation. Selling high on guys now while waiting for over half the rotation to come back next year is best. Now they just need a prospect or two to get over the hump and or trade for or sign a right handed power bat in the next season and things might start to come in full focus.

  11. We are beneath our quota of Dadbod pitchers now.

Who do you think Chicago is going to ask for, for Shaw?

  12. “internal options” always works out well. Just throw some AAA guys in there, who aren’t ready yet and hope for the best. That’s what championship organizations do.

  13. The FO might be waiving the white flag, but we’re game only a half game outta first and the Twins just got swept by the Royals.

This team keeps hitting and moving runners, you always have a chance in the central.

  14. With this new 1st baseman I’m guessing Bell will be traded or released by next season. Naylor will move to DH

  15. Are they giving up this season because of the Bally Situation and needing a payroll cut?
