[Longley] George Springer will be looking to avoid some dubious #Bluejays history tonight. At 34 at bats without a hit, he’s one off the club record of 35 shared by Danny Jansen (2021) and Ed Sprague (1994).

Ed Sprague. There’s a name I’ll never forget but also one I hadn’t heard in a very long time.
George will bust out of this in a fierce way. Let’s hope it’s tonight.
At a certain point you have to wonder how he hasn’t even gotten a swinging bunt or a flare for 34 straight AB’s. It’s hard to hit ground balls as many times as he has without getting on base at least once
He looked so deflated after striking out in his last AB last night.
Sadness. This game can be hard sometimes.
Springer has often carried the Jays on his back in the last couple of years – others can shoulder the burden while he figures it out.
How much is Springer owed over the next three seasons?
If he breaks the record, does Jano buy him a cake?
George is far too good of a player to be stuck in this hole for too much longer. Even if you’ve got to bunt your way on just do it lol.
Someone go find whatever sports psych they had Kikuchi and Berrios at over the winter. Both of those guys seem so much more resilient this yesr
you learn more about someone when things are going bad than when things are going good. Really hoping George can beat this slump sooner rather than later.
We’ve had enough of the Fall of George. Bring back the Summer of George.
Sometimes I wonder if George is having some personal issues, maybe related to his latest newborn.
