Can’t wait for this guy to prove so many people wrong this season.

He’s going to be better than last year. But I don’t know that he will be a franchise cornerstone type guy with the roster as currently constructed.
He also lacks the explosiveness to his first step that truly elite guys have in creating shot separation or beating their man to the bucket etc.
It will really boil down to how a system can be built around his strengths to help raise his ceiling as a playmaker forward and better utilize his post game / baby hook for offense.
If he fails it might get the whole FO fired lol
there’s been a rise of posts referring to him autistic in the nba subreddit and it’s very disappointing
i welcome him to prove me wrong

Can’t wait for him to be a dreadful shooter again, then idiots like OP and other Scottie stans will again preclaim he is only 21, be patient.
Reading some comments about Barnes from Raptors fans, you’d swear they want him to fail just so that they can say, “See! I told you he would be garbage!” Congrats, I guess? I don’t understand that mindset at all.
With that said, you’re kind of setting yourself up with a post like this. Yeah, I hope he has a great season too. Obviously. I’m a Raptors fan, so I’d like it if the players on said team did well. I mean, that makes sense. However, if Barnes has a mediocre year, or even a down year, those people will be swarming to yell nonsense at you. People like that are just waiting for that opportunity, mainly because they’re miserable, and they want you to be miserable. But you’ve probably been on the internet long enough to know that.
