  1. Really hope he comes into camp ready to push the kids away from his spot for another year or two.

There were more than a couple nights last year where that ERob-Kuraly-Oliver line was about the only good thing on the ice not named Johnny Gaudreau, so I’d love to see that line in a situation where we have an actual defensive structure in place.

  2. >One bold prediction: Olivier will score 15 goals this season. If Olivier plays consistently on the 4th line and isn’t scratched very often, there is a decent chance that his offensive numbers improve from last season.

That’s an insane prediction. There are 14 other forwards (Gaudreau, Laine, Jenner, Chinakhov, Marchenko, Johnson, Sillinger, Roslovic, Bemstrom, Foudy, Kuraly, Robinson, Danforth, and Texier) on the payroll who have proven to be more effective NHL players than him, with Fantilli and Voronkov joining the team this year, along with a few other prospects who will be fighting for a spot on the big club.

He will be lucky to play 25 NHL games this year.

Even if he played 82 games, he isn’t getting to 15 goals.

He has scored more than 11 goals ***once at any level since 2013-14***, and it was in his 5th year in the QMJHL as a 20-21 year old.
