That run was something to behold. It’s to bad we couldn’t hold it together. I remember Pete rose saying the royals take it in 5 because they have the experience and we don’t, and being so upset and offended by it.
I remember having a lead in basically all the World Series games and just watching defensive miscues/bad decisions fuck us.
Everything was firing on all cylinders until the WS. God damn that hurt more then any LOLMets moment.
I miss you 2015 WS team. You were genuinely my favorite team in Mets history. You didn’t have a lot of stars, you had a lot of young hungry pitchers with immense talent, you had my King David Wright, and you had the hot bat in Yoenis Cespedes.
Thanks for the memories, even though it ended in heartbreak.
That WS was rough. I agree; it hurt a lot. ‘99 Kenny Rogers bases loaded walkoff, outmatched in ‘00 WS, and gut wrenching ‘06 NLCS were also pretty big kicks in the nads.
I miss this team so much, great childhood memories
