Seahawks trying to solve the DK Metcalf red zone problem this season

A big part of why he sees so many redzone targets is because of how tall he is. When the field is so congested it’s easier to stand out at his size than it would be for Lockett, or maybe JSN. Hopefully the latter sees plenty of opportunities in the redzone
“pretty abysmal, and has looked the same this far in summer.”
“On the other side of the spectrum, counterpart Tyler Lockett saw 15 targets and converted 11 of them, for the third highest rate behind only Juju Smith-Schuster and Amon-Ra St. Brown.”
Just an idea, but maybe throw it to the guy that catches the ball, and not to the one that doesn’t.
Dk isn’t good when it comes to contested throws, or “jump balls”. Which is crazy because he’s huge, not just tall but built like a linebacker. You’d think he could use his body to block out and out jump a db but his timing is usually off, they even mentioned in the article as well. Hope he gets better in the ref zone and contested catches this season.
DK needs to play “bigger” use his body to box out more and put his grip strength to better use.
His hands arent good enough imo. Tyler Lockett was ridiculously efficient in the redzone last season, throw it to him lol.
Unfortunately DK isn’t that great at going up and getting it in traffic and it felt like Geno just spammed fades to DK whenever something wasn’t open
