  1. I cannot fucking believe Yandy swung at that pitch. Worst AB of the year contender

  2. That was such a winnable game. Don’t they dare bring that tomorrow. Ought to win easily with Glasnow on the mound.

  3. Only the Rays fuck up that 9th inning like that. Horrid pitching by their closer only for us to bail him out. I just can’t see us winning the division with this offense.

  4. We’ll get them tomorrow. Rough game all around. We didn’t have a great line up, and that seems to have cost us. Can’t take any team lightly, even the Tigres.

I’m not sure why Blowe wasn’t called to pinch hit. There were plenty of chances and they all had a day off on Thursday so sitting him a full day when he’s been super hot lately is an odd decision.

    Let’s go, Mets!

  5. Where is BLowe, he’s on a hot streak and could have stepped in for Parades in the 7th inning chance. If he was available, it was unacceptable to not insert him in that spot.

Blowe is batting .308/400/654 in his last 7.

  6. The amount of soft grounders and bloopers that found a hole against Civale was really, really unlucky. Sure he didn’t do fantastic, but he definitely didn’t do as poorly as the numbers say. He only gave up a couple hard hit balls. Soft contact just found holes in the defense. Detroit had some really good BABIP luck.

Our offense on the other hand was shit. Looked like July again. I’m sure it will be back to how it should be tomorrow. But Yandy swinging at that pitch with less than two strikes with the bases loaded on one out? Worst AB I’ve seen from him all year.

B Lowe should also have been pinch hit for Paredes. Better hitter lately, and much better defense as well.

Stephenson has been great for us, but of course it’s his turn to give up the first AB homerun this week. It’s our very own bullpen rotation. They take turns giving up a first AB homerun every week lol

  7. Frustrating game. Lost cuz their .200 hitting catcher in the 9 spot became tony Gwynn today. So many softly hit singles for them and so many awful at bats by our guys. Had plenty of chances to win but no one could come throw with a clutch hit. Looked like the Offense turned the clock back to July. Yandy swinging at ball 3 at his ankles in the 9th was such a kick in the nuts.
Hopefully the offense shows up for Glas tomorrow

  8. It’s funny . .. our offense has respectable numbers at every at-tab except #4 and the #7 –

#4 we are dead last in the AL with .196

    #7 we are 14th of 15 with a BA of .203

Different guys have hit in these positions and I know this isn’t really news – but it goes on and on. It’s as if someone cursed them.

Maybe we can conjure up some magic and improve things.
