  1. Hey guys. I’m a new MLB fan from the UK trying to learn the teams/franchises. How are the ownership of the Pirates thought of by fans? Are they decent people? And do the franchise try to build a team towards making the playoffs?

  2. Some stuff I like about this lineup. I think Rivas, Davis and Suwinski make for a good #3-5, especially if Rivas can keep this up. I like seeing Endy and Peggy back-to-back as well. They seem to feed off of each other. And I’m always excited to see Oviedo pitch as I think he’s making some real strides.

I don’t understand having Palacios leadoff. I’d suggest Alika Williams has earned himself an auto start at SS until (if?) he cools off and set him as the leadoff guy. I mean, he has a .429 OBP in his first ten games with us. Hayes and Williams on the left side of the diamond is about the best thing you could do to support Oviedo who tends to pitch to ground ball contact.

Move Joe to LF, move Peggy to DH and let Williams play SS. I only wish Gonzalez was still up to swap with Triolo, but this gives us the best version of our lineup (absent Reynolds) right now against a RHSP:

    Williams – SS
    Joe – LF
    Rivas – 1B
    Davis – RF
    Suwinski – CF
    Rodriguez – C
    Peguero – DH
    Hayes – 3B
    Triolo – 2B

  3. We sit 1 game atop the cellar dweller Cardinals. If we can somehow finish ahead of them this season, it would be a story to be passed down from generation to generation for ages to come.
