  1. first time the Rockies have won a series in St. Louis since 2009.

    great work, everyone.

  2. Only one off our own record!

“The most runners left on base during a nine-inning shutout is sixteen. It has occurred twice in Major League history: May 24, 1994, when Philadelphia shut out St. Louis (4-0), and May 7, 1998, when Toronto shutout Seattle (6-0).”

  3. 15 LOB. Another one run loss.

I’m sure we should remain patient (and continue to pay top dollar in the stadium), etc.

  4. In summary, ZT looked great, Jojo looked great, bullpen got it done today, boys just couldn’t time hits. Sucks to see, especially with the good lineup we sent out there today

  5. 15 left on base

That wouldn’t be so bad if you also had like seven runs to go along with it

  6. This tornado watch we got issued is already more interesting then the cardinals game

  7. 2023 Cardinals: 49-64

    1990 Cardinals: 52-61

The 1990 Cardinals won Game 113 against the Pirates, 8-3. The often punchless Cards lineup dropped 15 hits on Pittsburgh, with Vince Coleman going 4-5 with a home run and Willie McGee going 3-5 to raise his batting average to .339.

Starting pitcher John Tudor, my childhood hero, threw two perfect innings before leaving the game due to injury. I do not want to hear anyone saying that Tudor’s arm is falling apart at both elbow and shoulder and his stellar comeback season with St. Louis, 11-3 with a 2.49 ERA for a crappy team, is about to come to an end. I do not want to hear that.

  8. ZT striking out 8 total and the side twice is pretty fuckin sexy though. Serious Chris Carpenter vibe

  9. I still feel like we should have traded Goldie at the deadline. His numbers are down. You have to be concerned about continued regression at this point. It wouldn’t be wise to extend him. And I don’t see this team competing next year.

  10. Our problems aren’t just fucking pitching. What a truly inexcusable loss of game and series. 🖕🖕🖕

  11. This stellar series featured us going 3-27 with RISP, 33 LOB and scoring 10 runs on 33 hits. At home, against the Rockies- a team which has surrendered 637 runs this season. What the fucking fuck.

  12. Is the Giants booth the most boring booth in baseball? This is rough. Think they’re falling asleep mid game

  13. “Dunkirk” goes off of Netflix on the 11th so I am watching this movie for, I dunno, probably at least the fifth time. Goddamn I love this film. The little ships coming out of the fog, Tom Hardy turning his plane around to engage a German even though he knows he’s going to run out of gas, Tommy reading “we shall fight on the beaches” in a solemn, subdued voice at the end–this movie kicks so much ass.
